After exerting myself trying to impress the physio I've been in pain for the last week. Started in centre of chest but has now moved more to the right. Had 2 stents implanted a few years ago and everything is said to be OK.
Am I worrying myself silly over what is probably just a pulled muscle? I just don't want to be a nuisance to the doc.

With your history of ischaemic heart disease you shouldn't take any chances with chest pain. It does sound as if it's muscular, but see your doctor for reassurance. If the pain is constant it's unlikely to be angina as that's usually relieved by GTN and/or rest. Do you have any other symptoms like shortness of breath? Try calling NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 if you need professional advice tonight - they should be able to set your mind at rest instead of you worrying over the weekend. Good luck...and take it easy on the exercise next time :)

My mum had the comparable symptons after a bout of pnuemonia. It lasted for a minimum of two months. She had blood tests and an x-ray and that they got here back sparkling. Our wellness care professional defined that some human beings improve this discomfort (on the breastbone) while the muscle will become contaminated. in case you press your breastbone does it harm and experience mushy? in case you have had an quite undesirable chilly or flu those days, this can be the clarification. i'm no wellness care professional and can needless to say make it easier to realize to bypass back on your wellness care professional while you at the instant are not extremely joyful. My mum replaced into in anguish too regardless of if it has now thoroughly long previous. individually, I doubt this is something greater severe than muscular because of the fact you have been suffering with it for quite a on an analogous time as and nicely achieved you for quitting smoking!! desire you experience greater suitable quickly.

Look up Chostochodritis (i think it is spelled like that) on the internet. If your symptoms are anything like that then you should go to the doctor. Used to have it when I was younger.
