does it have a battery compartment? just take them out if not then sorry just deal and next time check for an off button before you buy a toy that makes noise

I had to laugh when I saw this question! I almost bought same phone for my daughter, but after listening to it in the shopping cart for an hour, I put it back. I couldn't figure it out then...I think they just die eventually. If you don't want to listen to it, put it in a drawer that doesn't get much use or jostled. So silly-I learned to never get anything that doesn't have an OFF button.
