My cell phone has been turn off! It's $182 because I didn't pay my phone bill last month and I went over 34 minutes and also including my bill for this month. My Boyfriend makes Tons of money and loves to gamble. He lost $1,200 recently. I currently don't have a job but about to get one. I need my cell phone that my way of communication. Don't you think he should pay it? Not that I am golddigger because I am not. It's just that he spends money on everything else for me like food, alcohol, cigarettes, trips, and etc. Why is he refusing to pay my phone bill? Or maybe he was just joking around with me on the phone and saying he wasn't but he really is... He jokes and messes with me alot alot of the times. Give me your input

It's your phone so you should pay the bill regardless if he makes more money than you.

If you can't afford to pay your bill, then don't use it or give it up. There was a world before cell phones and we all got along and were able to communicate fine.

Not to be mean, but it does sound like you're a gold-digger as in your own words "It's just that he spends money on everything else for me like food, alcohol, cigarettes, trips, and etc. Why is he refusing to pay my phone bill?"

IMHO, you should learn to take care of yourself and your own bills. What happens if he dumps you - are you going to move on to the next man willing to pay your bills and keep you?

Congrats on getting a job.

Learn some responsibility and pay your own phone bill. If your phone bill is almost $200 for only 2 months then you might want to think about cutting back on using it. Especially if you have no way to pay it. It doesn't matter if your BF has money and splurges on things - that is his reward for actually going out and earning a living.

Why should your boyfriend pay your phone bill? The fact that he gambles his money means nothing - it's his money to do what he wants with. Your fault for going over by 34 minutes.

I mean that doesn't make you a golddigger beacuse if he can buy you alcoholand other things he can use that to pay your phone bill. Me personally wouldn't want him to but when you're in need then he should. But after you get your job you have to stay independent, men adore women who are independent. You have to let them know that you can do things with or without them. Not saying that you're not independent, it's just you're having a fall back and that's understandable, because everyone goes through that stage and you have to have someone strong behind you to help left you up. Becasue if the shoe was on the other foot he would want you to help him out in his time of need and you being the woman you are you will hlep him. He have your back and you have his back......

I think its no ones responsibity to pay your cell phone but yours. You shouldnt be getting upset that he spends so much money but doesnt pay your bill. You guys are obviosly not married, which constitutes the fact that he really is not responsible for anything you owe. It doesnt matter that he buys you food, cigs, whatever, its your cell phone bill and you should have to pay it.

no he shouldn't unless he help to run the bill up.
Then he should pay half of the bill. But if he didn't then you should pay Ur own bill. Get a job for crying out loud, and be independent.

I think if he can afford it , he could offer to pay it, but it is not his obligation nor is it his responsiblity. It isnt right for you to assume he should pay it simply because he has the money for it. Its your phone (a luxury, BTW, not a 'need') , you went over the minutes, so its your bill.

Uh, that is YOUR bill honey, and if he pays for it because you ran it up this time, you won't think twice about doing it again next time. But if he is silly enough to pay for it, I hope you have the decency to repay him for it---lots of money or not.

You are the one who ran up the bill, so you should be the one to pay it!

If he doesn't I don't blame him. Maybe he could loan you the money to pay it until you get a job and then you pay it back.
