unless otherwise contracted, either verbally or written and employee cannot work more than 5 consecutive hours without an eating period. This period should be equal to no less than 30 minutes.

Since no work is done during this time frame the employer is under no obligation to pay you for this time.

this time can also be divided in such a way that the employee can break up this time throughout the day to equal the 30 minutes.

You posted this in "USA questions only". In the USA most places don't count off on your hourly wage to go to the 'bathroom'. It usually only takes about 3 to 5 minutes. Most places allow two 10 to 15 breaks with pay and one 30 to 60 minute lunch break without pay, in an 8 hour shift. Usually you get a break of at least 10 minutes every two hours.

you are accorded one hour of lunch for every eight hours of work. I do not believe breaks are a right, although most employers offer them. You may wish to call your local office of the Ministry of Labor for assistance.
