Generally, if a product contains derivatives from pig meat, then it has to be avoided.

For food products, see the label on the product, if it contains such elements, it should be avoided. Some of my Muslim brothers and sisters provided useful links above. You can take help from there.

Just go to the kosher section of the supermarket and it is halal.

i usually contact the company if it doesn't say on the pack.

but get this, any thing that contains Gelatin in it is more likely to be pork Gelatin.
