Maybe he doesnt always work 9-5 mon-fri. I'm sure if he wasnt on the bench then he was off the clock, and he has every right to do that. Not only that, but he had to travel to and from the site.

You would pay a fee for just about anything you would go to a judge for during working hours.

The state gets the $$ to pay the judges and operate the building and pay the clerks from the fees.

Ha! Knowing from personaly experience. Anything with the word wedding is marked up. It is crazy, but people fall for it because they think it will be the only or the last one they will have.

Because you're receiving a SERVICE......there is usually a price for all services....the money you pay doesn't go into the judge's pocket - it goes to the court.

your probably paying for the location spot. maybe if others want to have their ceremony there too. kind of like a reservation fee. to hold the time and place for you.

they're not suppose to!where i live it's illegal for a judge to accept money however,you can offer but,the cash has to be donated to a charity.
