I admire men who have friends that are women. I've not had much luck with that and don't know too many guys that do. The female friends I do have/or had are cherished but they are surely anomalies.

I think for a lot of guys, there will always be tension between them and an attractive female friend. And that can get in the way of having a good, satisfying friendship... just too much of a bloody distraction. I blame testosterone. HA HA!

But to return to the heart of your question, I'd say that if I find a girl attractive, I don't necessarily want to be her friend but rather want her in another way (you know what I mean). If I find we have some common ground, then it's quite possible a friendship can develop.

This question could not be further from the truth. I was in a position where I worked in the past that I came into contact with women from all walks of life. I was a human resources manager. I guess it was just the way I was brought up but I always tried to be friendly with everyone. To be so closed minded that you will only associate with someone that is attractive is immature.

Do guys like attractive women more? Yes, but they don't generally want to like you just as friends.

Guy types:
1) Some guys only want to get into your pants.
2) Some guys really want to get to know you.

Most attractive ladies (over 80% of them) chose guy #1.
The rest choose guy #2.

You have to determine which "guy type" he is and not make a poor choice. Hint: The flakes are the ones who talk the loudest and without a group of their friends backing them up, they're nothing.

if i am attracted to her then becoming friends with her might be the first step in showing her what kinda guy i am so maybe it will lead to something more or if i am really attracted to her it would be hard to just be friends and not want something more out of the relationship or at least wish it would turn into more if you know what i mean...attracted to is the key part of the question

No guy WANTS to be FRIENDS with any girl he finds attractive. If we are FRIENDS with an attractive girl, it's because she said "No".

Anybody who says yes is lying, or have never had friends who they care for. A friend is there for their heart and mind, a person you can ring at 3 in the morning and need them and they are there. So, in effect it matters not at all the appearence, but the depth and warmth. And I imagine you are those things, so stop worrying.
