Yes, there is Macromedia Fireworks .. it's easier than Photoshop and does all the Photoshop's jobs with easier ways.. I use it instead of Photoshop ... I'm sure you'll like it..

On the adobe website there are trial versions that you can use for 30 days - and there is a trial version of Photoshop.
