Real life is the positive impact you make in your time and the positive impact you leave on others lives for ages and generations to come,
It is the realisation that you are in the scheme of things a teeny weeny bit, and negligible given the vast Universe, Its also the realisation that you hold immense power to get outta orbit if you strive to.
Life is a gift, a blessing, look at the lessewr previliged, the blind, the invalid, the people who are sick and know that death is imminent, yet live and fight to live,
Look at those to whome life has offered the best, yet choose to sacrifice it for a cause so others can live,
Death on the other hand is a certainity, yet none plans by death.
we have seen our elders pass away, some smiling, some in agony, some without an expression and some so suddenly that u cant believe they have gone,
yet we plan for lives, all our lives we spend planning, some enjoy living, others curse and go on living,
It depends on you,
relish Gods gift and enjoy and let others enjoy
or be like George W Bush, Find ways of creating and sustaining fear, destroy, kill, all in the name of qualitative living.
In the words of Haali
" Aagaah apni mouth say koee bashar nahee
Samma hai sou baras ka Pal kee khabar nahee"
Meaning none knows his time of death, yet we prepare for a century not knowing if we can live the next moment.

Real Life is a hazy time for learning and hurting, growing, crying, loving, laughing, spreading joy and hope and reaping what you sow, which happens between birth and death.
Real life as you describe it is what happens when you are busy making other plans, it takes you by surprise, moulds you, makes you, breaks you, builds you up again and just when you think you have it down pat, it goes grapefruit on you and squirts you in the eye!
It's not really real since it's actually preparation for what is yet to come - REAL life, where one year in REAL life is equivalent to 50 000 of these years.
That's why suicide just ain't worth it. As Katie Melua sings- It's only pain, it only hurts... and hey - you may not believe in life after life, but if you do - the rewards are out of this world.!

I would say that it depends on your world view. From a naturalist viewpoint, the reason for life is to live, reproduce, and then die. From a Christian perspective with Christ in the center, life becomes something grander. John 10:10 says "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." I know that's what I want; life to the fullest!

It is sort of like a game show, Survivor. Some stay and some leave early. After the show everyone gets to review their actions. However, unlike the game show, no one survives.

there are hundreds of millions of people who go hungry every day...Hundreds of millions who are sick or abused...Do you think they enjoy life? I guess it depends on how lucky you are to be born in a "normal" country and have a "normal" life, where your basic needs are met. After that it's up to you wheather to enjoy life or not.
