Hi, all so called religions from the beginning of time have worshipped some deity as God, and in no case has this deity ever shown himself/herself to these worshippers, when the only true God chose the Hebrews He only spoke to them thru a human agent i.e Moses but did not show Himself for good reason,
However God decided by His own authority the time to do so, and became like one of us in all things but sin, this God-man was Jesus Christ, God and Saviour, and now we are able to identify with the real tangible and true God, and not the fantasy figures of old, or indeed any contrived deities of modern enlightenment.
this is what makes Christians different, and hated.

That is a very valid question.Christians believe, pray to ,and worship the risen savior Jesus Christ.Still to this very day,the mere mention of his name can fill a room with tension, especially if you are congregating amongst Jews.
Most people think of Jesus as so great, merciful, loving, and risen. But what A lot of people don't hear of is the human being part of his ministry here on earth. It's simple and very clear to understand. Many pastors across the country have gotten away from this teaching.Sparing people from the gory details. But it is an essential part of understanding just what went on in those days.
Jesus was smitten(beaten)
Jesus was rejected(refused or denied)
Jesus was ridiculed(mocked or made fun of)
Jesus was hated
Jesus felt anguish(suffering and pain)
Jesus felt spiritual pain
Even while Jesus was dying on the cross,he cared enough for the sinners of this earth to forgive and save one more while he was still on earth. That would be the thief crucified right next to him.Ever notice pictures of three crosses side by side? That is symbolic of Calvary. One thief denied him,the other accepted him. That process still echoes to this day.

First of all note that of three of the worlds biggest religions, Judiasm, Islam, and Christianity all have the same roots. In fact every major and most minor religions have one common factor and that is the flood story. Christianity is based on the acceptance that Jesus Christ is the annointed Son of God and the Messiah. He was pure in all ways. According to the New Testament the closest he ever came to sin was assaulting the moneylenders in the Temple. But since people were in fact desecrating the temple trading their filthy animals inside the temple, then I of course have to side with the Lord. We believe Jesus was executed for no known crime in either Rome's (the temporal authority in Jeruselem at the time) or even within Hebrew Law (Which could not truly find a crime against him). His death was based on both Rome and Hebrew fears of his garnering followers and therefore stripping them of what powers they may in fact have. We also believe that he died, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead and walked among us to give strength to his followers. He then ascended into heaven and is seated with the Father. Though true Muslims do accept portions of this account, including the ressurection, as do Messianic Jews, most everybody else dismisses these events. Jews are still waiting for the Messiah and Islam accepts Mohammed as a true Prophet of God. Christians of the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) believe Jesus came and walked among those of North America to teach and that these stories were handed to us from the Angel Moroni to Joseph Smith, Prophet and founder of the Mormons. Most Christians dismiss this sect due to the fact that Smith made several Prophecies that either never came true or only partially came true. A true Prophet of God never makes false prophecies. Additionally, Smith was a chronic Alcoholic and abused opiates, as well as had gambling debts.

The difference between Christianity and other religions :
Christianity: What God did to bring us salvation
All other religions: What man does to bring salvation upon himself
In other words, the religions of this world emphasize works, what man must do to be saved, while Christianity emphasizes what God did to save us.
the one thing that sets Christianity apart from other religions is salvation by grace. Most other religions teach that we are saved or reach our highest potential by doing something. Here are some examples:
Judaism teaches that a person is ultimely judged by how he/she keeps God's commandments. The belief regarding non-Jews is that if they are righteous (i.e. do good deeds), they have a place in "the world to come". Muslims, too, believe that a person obtains salvation by doing certain things.
While Buddhism and Hinduism don't teach salvation, they believe that one is released from an endless cycle of reincarnation by reaching enlightenment. In their belief, your actions in one lifetime affect how much closer you get to enlightenment in your next life. Many followers of the New Age movement and pagans follow similar beliefs.
Salvation by grace is a wonderful thing. Isn't it a blessing not to have to worry about whether your good deeds will get you in heaven? Not to worry about reincarnation and the problems associated with that belief?
I encourage anyone who's desiring to know the truth in Christ to pray and ask God into your life.

Buddhism is not a religion.
Sikhs and hindus i do not get they have about 6000 gods. ( although there is something about a flood in there something )
Islam comes from arabs from Ishmael from Abraham , ( am i right ? )
Christians understand the origins of mankind, the fall from perfection, the need for a saviour, and the coming of the Christ and the future promises of the bible.
What other religions are there ? Mayan ? Astrology? Atheism ?

personal opinion the only basic differences in any Religion and another are the NAMES they refer to GOD and the differences in the Rituals and Ceremonies they use to Honor, Worship, Pray and Petition. Thank, Adore, etc. their GOD. GOD is to big to be in only one place and there are many ways to reach ones destination as one can walk, take a car, a train, a plane, a bus, etc. arriving is the important thing not how one arrives.

They are the only religion that requires gaining converts.
None of their beliefs are original as they are all borrowed from other religions.
They are the only religion who preaches and believes that they are correct and everyone else is wrong.
They believe in sin and eternal condemnation.
They believe that Satan (their own creation) is at war with God and responsible for all sin in the world, rather than personal accountability.

It is God's Grace that we are saved (eternal life / redeemed) and not by works lest anyone boast.
It is Christ righteousness that saves us, not our own righteousness.
Other religions earn their righteousness by doing what they think is right. That is self rightiousness. Then they judge others accordingly.
One religion might say that it is a sin to wear red because that is Satan's color. So would judge others as being evil if they wore red. Really there is no law in the bible, "Thou shalt not wear red."
One religion might say that they are the only Christian denomination that is saved because of the self righteous additional laws in it.
The reality is that with religious self righteousness comes pride. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
