A few weeks ago someone asked when they were going to fight and I answered they weren't - one's a fighter & one's the prez. ....well everyone who answered after me thinks they are and says it was announced in the Shamrock/Ortiz fight. My question is, I guess, when is this going to happen? My husband & I watch UFC religously and neither one of us heard this announcement. Was it a joke or something? Or are they really fighting? And when?

It was announced and it's for a charity. Dana White was an amature boxer before he and two other men bought the ufc and turned it into a money making enterprise. He also managed Tito and Liddel both when they first came into the UFC if i'm not mistaken. But the fight was scheduled for the week after the Last pay-per-view and i'm not sure if it actually happened or not. But I do recall the anouncement being made.

No, they've just agreed to an impromtu boxing match, I think it's in early December, shortly before the Ortiz/Liddel title match.

I did hear it right after Tito's match with Ken, so yeah, there are some plans for a matchup between the prez of UFC and Tito

When Tito began negotiating his return to the UFC he told Dana that the only way he would come back was if he could fight him. Although it may have just been said in jest Dana included that in his contract as well as a title shot after 3 wins. It was going to be a private boxing match between the 2 of them but I think they did sell tickets to raise money for charity. In one of Titos interviews he even says how he has the greatest job in the world because he gets to punch his boss in the face.

The fight, which will actually be a boxing match, is a part of the contract that Ortiz signed when he returned to the UFC...

They both agreed to do it. It has been postponed one too many times

Its nowhere near exciting though as the Pride Bushido Semifinals and Finals. Check it out.

was your husband also the one that can knock people out by touching their chest LOL :)

and if you watched it religiously, you would have seen at the Tito shamrock fight on ultimate fight night that they announced it plain as day.
