It may not be wrong to be a fashion model, but it sure is hard to maintain a Christian lifestyle if you're trying to live by the Christian examples in the Bible. You'd need to keep your dress and grooming modest, which would be pretty hard to do in the world of high fashion where sex sells. You'd also have to make time for spiritual things and keep yourself from some of the vices that are prevalent in the modeling world - drugs, sex, partying, etc.

There are a ton of variables to be considered with this question. Take a close look at what the company is trying to sell and how they go about advertising it. I don't think you want to get involved in modeling for a company like Abercrobe and Finch that exploits sexuality to sell clothing. But their are plenty of others that simply want models to better display their clothes. I would also think you'd want to stay clear of companies that want to charge outrageous prices that take advantage of peoples attempt to "fit it" with other. Basically use common sence and take a look at as many aspects of the modeling position as you can. Modeling for a company that delivers a quality product at fair prices without exploiting sexuallity I think would be fine.

Paul (who was his own branch of religion that was in direct opposition of Jesus' teachings), first of all, was a well-known misogynist. One of the main teachings he had for women was that their vanity was a sin and they were to be kept out of sight, out of mind basically.
However in the Old Testament, a beautiful woman was something to be praised. Even Esther participated in a beauty pageant which would be considered modeling today and God didn't strike his eternal wrath against her.
As long as the girl was not showing off anything provocative, then I don't see a problem with it.

It really depends on what church you belong to. If you're Baptist, z(especially Russian Baptist) older people might be little more careful and tell you that it's not very good idea to do something like that. What they trying to do is kind of shelter you from all the BAD out there... But if you're strong enogh "Spiritually" and you think nothing out there will make you fall down on your face in SINS, you are free to try out anything you want, but be very careful...
I personally don't see anything wrong with it...
Good luck and God Bless

I suppose it would depend on what this young adult was going to model. In general, though, I would not disapprove.

Jesus is the proper choose. and likewise it somewhat is as much as her, God gave us all loose will. I dont comprehend if p.c.. in a gown must be sexual immorality on her behalf, yet whilst some guy have been to lust for her by using fact of that %then that must be sexual immorality. So the guy could be sinning. yet did your sister help reason that guy to sin??? grew to become into she a "Stumbling block" by using image she presented?.... i think you are able to take it a number of different approaches. individually i would not be to in touch :) see you later as she isn't posing a million/2 bare or something ya comprehend. God Bless

Nope. You must use Godly discretion to ensure you don't do anything offensive to God.
Beauty was CREATED by God!
Prayerfully consider each job you're offered. Don't be swayed into doing anything untoward.

It is up to you and your Bible trained Conscience. You must be mindful of the message that all your actions send out to others and that there are arguments against it for obvious reasons.
What would Jesus say ?

Well, it is based on vanity and I don't think you'd have time to spread your beliefs. I don't think it's a good career choice for a christian.
