I would tell you that no book is going to make anyone convert. You have to experience the enlightening of the Holy Spirit. I am a Christian and have received the Lord into my heart years ago. I would like to add, that by the world standards, I should be a very angry women because when I was young , I lost both my parents. Standing here now and turning to look at my life, I can see how the Lord never left me. Everything happens for a reason. The day my mother died I became close to my best friend. The reason was because she was going through a problem in her life that day and I counseled her for about an hour she then said I was quiet and I explained that my mom had died that day......through this she was touched and we have been best friends for 25 years. I met my husband through her because he is her cousin. We now have 3 beautiful children. During the time of my parents death I felt the power of Jesus around me. When I would talk to Him , without a doubt, I knew He was right there. How do you describe the wind? you can't see it but you can feel it and see its effect ,,, I guess that is the only way I can describe it.

Yea that's how they do it. Check out Centution's answer. They do it by FEAR. Why do you need religion as long as you have faith.? And why do you need to go to a church every Sunday.? If there is really a "GOD" you should be able to talk to him / her anywhere you want. People often get faith and religion mixed up. A true and only a TRUE Christian doesn't pass any kind of judgment on anyone else because of their faith or lack of or what colour their skin is or what they may have done in the past or who they worship. As far as I can tell, God only wants you to be true to yourself and treat others as you would want to be treated.

Dear Bush Kill,IN all seriousness I would like to tel you not why you need to join my religion or my Church, but rather why you need Jesus.

Do you consider yourself to be a good person?

Have you ever lied?
Have you ever stolen something?
Have you ever looked with lust? (adultery of the heart)
have you ever used Gods name in vain (blasphmey)
Have you ever failed to put God first? (Idolatery)
if you have said yes to these three questions, by your own admission your a lying thieving adulterous blasphemer at heart and an idlater, and you will have to stand before a Holy God who has sees every thught word and deed, nd even sees the secret sins you thought no one else knew about. If God Judges you by this standard on Judgement day would you be innocent or guilty? Your conscience bears wittness to your guilt, and the BIble says you would be guilty. THe Bible portrays God as Holy and Just, therefore he must carry out Justice, and If he carries out Justice upon you the Bible makes it clear you will end up in Hell. Thats Not Gods will however, God provided his one and only son to suffer and die on the cross for your sins. In other words, you broke the Law and Jesus paid your fine in his own blood. Today if you will repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in jesus as Lord and savior, God will forgive you and grant you the gift of everlasting life. eiother this is true or it ism't , I would simply ask that you wager very catiously, because were talking about an eternity.
God Bless
WDJD

My telling you anything, is NOT what draws a person to God.

The Holy Spirit draws you nigh. You can convert and do any church practice you desire, for what it is worth.

Unless you are "drawn" by God, Himself, NOBODY can be a Christian , simply because they "want" to.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not like joining a Boy Scout Troop by signing a membership card.

It's your choice whether you'd convert or not. I would say that if there were no absolutes in this world: Good or bad, then there would be no God and there would be no point or difference between love and hate. This way, I wouldn't care how I lived my life. How can one deny the existance of love?

Believe what you will.

Its pretty doubtful that you could tell someone just one thing that would cause them to convert. If a person has faith in something, it would take much more than one thing to change that. You'd have to disprove what they currrently believe and then show them why what you believe is true.

Nothing!!!!
I would live my life before you and hopefully my life would show you the Holy Spirit at work. Then the Spirit of God would do the converting, not me for I can do nothing on my own.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent Jesus into the world not to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved unto eternal life.

That's what I would tell you.
