I've had a fever of 100.8 for the last 3 days, i've been taking tylonol which brings it down to near normal. The fever cuases a little headache, but these are my only symtoms. Of coarse I also have chills and hot flashes from the fever, as expected. What could this be? I don't really feel bad, other than just being too hot or too cold.

If the fever persists you must go see a Dr. A viral infection can cause a fever, but it will go away after a few days. (Like the flu) If it is bacterial (Like strep) you symptoms are going to get worse and you could get really sick. Instead of paying for a simple dr's visit you might end up in the hospital.
If the fever persists or you develop any more symptoms please go to the Dr. Check with your local county hospital. They usually have sliding scale fees for people with no insurance. Or go to a small urgent care clinic. They can be less expensive than a private Physician.

Depending on what area of the country you live, you may have allergies. Molds are quite high right now. So, it could be a sinus infection. Try a good decongestant. Otherwise you may have to spend the money on a doctor visit for antibiotics.

Since you have had a fever for three days, the illness could be as simple as a cold, or a very serious one. You should seek medical advice.
