No sane person would feel that masturbation is a sin. It is the ultimate in safe sex.
In order for it to be a sin it would have to hurt someone. Who does it harm?
You do not "lose eggs" when you menstruate. By the time of menstruation the egg (which is only viable for about 24 hours) has "died" a long time ago ago and is just one of the things that your body is sloughing off.
I am sorry that someone has given you such bad information that you think these ordinary bodily functions could be a sin. Relax, they are not.
Blessings

Hi, the ancient Jews considered it a grave sin because if a man spilt his seed then it could hold back the Messiah being born, the law of Moses forbid it very strongly for this reason, and considered it an offence against God, because God intended mans seed for woman and nothing else, for procreation purposes.
however the secondary reason is that masturbation is an expression of self love,in that it`s sole purpose is to gratify oneself, which is beneath human dignity. menstruation is not a sin.
hope this helps, good luck.

The whole story of the "spilling of the seed" had to do with deception, rather than masturbation. The Bible doesn't say masturbation is a sin.

I don't believe masturbation is a sin unless God specifically told someone to impregnate his wife & he disobeyed God & spilled his seed (as an purposeful act of disobedience / rebellion).
It is written in the 10 commandments to not commit adultery or idolatry, so sexual acts, including masturbation, with vain imaginations associated to adultery of the heart / idolatry, is a sin.
Menstruation is not a sin. It is not a purposeful act of rebellion against God or God's Word.

The sinfulness is not in the losing of seed but in the act of solitary pleasure and self love it's egotistic.
Love is meant to be shared.
Menstruation is not a sin it's just part of human physiology.

Jesus said "You have heard of old that you shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that if you even look upon a woman to lust after her you have already committed adultery with her in your heart." In other words if you even think lustful thoughts, you have committed adultery which breaks the 7th Commandment. Therefore, if you can masturbate without lusting after another person in your mind then it is not a sin. But if you cannot masturbate without lust then it is a sin. But all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. You see, we all breaks God's Commandments all of the time. This offends God and that is why we need a savior to avoid God's wrath. Jesus, God's son is that savior. When we repent of our sins and trust Jesus to save us then we will be forgiven and made right in God's holiness.

You can read that part of the Bible two ways. One way says look, God said "Do it", Onan didn't do it. Exactly what Onan did doesn't matter; masturbate instead of porking the woman, ate his fried chicken with his fingers instead of a fork, reached across people instead of saying "Please pass the gravy". Disobedience was the sin, not masturbation. If God tells you to sleep with your brother's sister, do it or else. If He doesn't, what you do in the privacy of your own shower is your business.
Baptists eat their chicken with their fingers and Episcopalians use forks because that's how they are, not because of the Bible, by the way.

Its not a sin back in the old days when they wrote the bible they considered it a sin because they thought that it was a waste of sperm but its isn't a sin now if you feel comfortable doing it i don't see why you should care...besides I'm pretty sure we all do things that are considered sins and have a good time doing it

masturbation is a sin. It defiles you. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit. it is a sin against purity, it is mortal sin meaning the life of grace in your soul is cut off. Sin against the 6th commandment. Don't despair, go to confession do penance and the grace will be restored.

I don't believe in the belief that it is a sin, because in the Bible, the real sin that Onan committed was disobedience, not the act of masturbation. We get hung up on the details but that's the real issue.
