Why? Did your feelings change once you got to know them? Did you become more attracted to them because of the person they were?

it is possible to start dating someone who you may not necesarily be attracted to. Dont get me wrong - there has to be an attraction of some sort, but nothing like 'wow, he's gorgeous'. Beauty and attraction also comes from within. Its like the saying, dont judge a book by its cover. Some people can create 'false' id's on the outside and often dont even mean to. If you genuinely like someone (at least) then you should give it time and learn more about the real person within, personality can outshine beauty, thats for sure.

Yep. :-) The love of my life was once someone I tried to avoid. But being a goody two-shoe, I kept talking when he talked to me. Eventually I liked him as a friend and liked having him around. Five months after meeting him, I decided to dance with him cause he was my friend and when we were dancing, I realized that I wanted him, not just as a friend but more. He wanted me too... A week later we kissed and that was it! It's been almost a year since I started dating him and even though we have broken up twice due to distance problems, I still want him so bad. Next month, I'm supposed to go where he lives for a dance! I can't wait.

Yes, I've dated someone that I wasn't attracted to and after I had gone out with them and got to know them I finally started really being attracted to them and now I could never see myself without the person. ♥

personality is everything! all the "hot" guys i've ever known have been JERKS. but all the guys that i've fallen for have not been typically cute, but have had awesome personalities. i think it's more about the chemistry, not about the initial attraction.
although, sometimes it's just too hard to get over the lack of attraction. one of my best guy friends was in love with me, but i just didn't feel any sort of physical attraction to him, even though i loved his personality...so there was no way i could date him. i know that sounds shallow, but if there's nothing there, you can't force it!

Yep...sometimes someone just initally doesn't catch your eye, but once you get to know them as a person you find yourself more and more attracted to them until you can't even imagine not being attracted to them! They sexiest guy I know is one that I wasn't initially attracted to!

No, there always was (physical) attraction. Even a little. But then again, I'm a guy and for man it works different I guess.

Yes, but once she learn how to make another guy the same way i did.

A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
a better and happier place.

Actually, yes! It's funny to look back on it,....but I dated her for 4 years through my 2nd year of college. I can't even explain it to this day. Breaking up was the best move both of us made.

I'm proud to say that I've "dated" guys that I thought were ugly as hell, just to be perverse or because they were homies. As far as my "feelings"-- I generally feel the same about everybody. I can take em or leave em. I don't like being attached.
