I came across the term twice: it is the name of a valuable card from the trading card game Magic: The Gathering, and a character from the fighting game Tekken 5 (Devil Jin) says 'Fear the wrath of God!' as his opening line. But is the term biblical or anti-biblical? Just curious. I'm not a Christian.

It's a biblical one and not seen as derogatory.

"God's wrath" or "God's anger" is mentioned many times in the bible. Christians and non-christians use the phrase "wrath of god" to describe cataclysmic events.

I think you will find in the Book of Revelation chapters 6 & 7 the concept of the wrath of the Creator against humanity who has so destroyed the creation.

The Wrath of God
also known as
The Wrath of the Lamb (i.e., Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.)

The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, Who takes away the sins of the world ... but when that atonement is so long and thoroughly rejected then He acts in judgement.

There is no such thing as "wrath of God". Most people do not understand God and use terms like "God fearing", "wrath of God". God loves us. He would never get angry with his children. People should really fear the devil and be afraid of the devil's warth because God loves us and we have nothing to fear from him.

The term is biblical . The Bible often uses anthropomorphic terms for God.

The Wrath of God is a TV show on the Weather Channel.

I don't feel that Hurricane Katrina was 'the wrath of God'. Against who and for what offense? It was a weather formation. Dispassionate and neutral.
