Don't listen to the idiots pressing anti Bush propaganda. If you want to honor the troops overseas speak up for them You do remember we are fighting in Afghanistan too right? It isn't only Iraq, remember them on Thanksgiving, while you sit with your family eating until you can't consume one more bite. Remember them as you talk politics with family and you think you know what is right. Remember them when you watch your children on Christmas unwrapping their presents. What we take for granted they are defending and unselfishly pass by so we don't have to.
Stand up and fight for those soldiers waiting to stand trial for doing their jobs, send your thanks to those in the hospitals with missing limbs. If you live close to a military base contact the base locater and ask how you can help. Thank them when you see a Veteran. Stand up for them when others attack, after all they are willing to stand up for you and die for you.
They need your HONEST support, not some magnet on your trunk. Speak up for them, write to them, contact your local VFW or American Legion and ask what you could do. They volunteer to fight and die for this country so others can insult and ridicule them. Don't turn your backs and help them out. The holidays are here and they aren't.
In response to a few remarks here, killing a liberal or democrat is no solution. I have been approach by just as many democrats and republicans. Nobody comes up and says "I'm a republican/ democrat and I support you." I have only had a few even recognize the fact I am a vet, nevermind the VET plates or sticker on my car. No one side is better than the other, this isn't about politics it is about what is right and what is wrong, it is about men and women fighting for what they believe not what we demand them to believe.

We can best show our support for our troops by making absolutely certain that they have the very best weapons, the best munitions, and the best defensive gear (body & vehicular) possible to obtain and secure their safety!
Prayers will always help!
We can honor our Veterans by making certain that they have the very best medical attention possibly if they suffered any injuries while in the Armed Forces and that they can continue with their education and employment when they return home - with no reduction in their medical alowances like what Bush has done!

i do not like studying that men and women placed our troops and our executive within the equal gentle. our troops are doing their JOBS, those they are educated to do, and are taking orders. they're in one of the most such a lot hazardous and highly attempting situations any human might be in. they deserve NOTHING BUT OUR UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT! in case you have a situation with wherein they're or why they're there, do not ask them. they're combating for our nation, our freedom and our lifestyle. touch your congressional representatives to voice your opinion approximately political issues. vote. whinge. write on your congressional reps. write to the white condominium. however do NOT take it out at the troops. it is unfair, it suggests political bias wherein there will have to be none, it deflects help from a institution that demands it greater than ever, and it is undeniable out improper. i'm sorry our troops are in such dangerous instances, and that i desire our executive officers might clear up this in a option to get all of them house the day past. however to this point, we've got what we've got. help your troops, interval. find it irresistible or now not, they've signed as much as safeguard our nation, without reference to whether or not they believe the situations.

Simply displaying the Amrican Flag is a good way to start. Thank a vetran personally when you meet one and be sincere. If you have a local vetrans hospital call them up and find out how you can volunteer to help cheer up a wounded vetran. Or you might be able to send some goodies to a soldier through the "treats for troops program" I do that once amonth it can be a bit expensive but its a really cool way to say Thanks and they sure do appreciate it!

Petition your congressman or woman for bigger pay raises for the military. Our last one (2.2%) is the smallest in years. Averages about 10 to 20 dollars extra a month. Meanwhile..Senators and the like are hiking their pay every year by god knows how much.

Sending a handwritten letter, or supplies, to "any soldier" is a nice idea.
There are web sites that can help you. Here's one of many I found:
http://www.anysoldier.com/
God bless you for thinking of them!
