In the sense that most Christians blame Satan for things that go wrong and pray to a deity for things they want, yes, absolutely, it's a childishness. To simply want to "believe" without evidence is another sign of arrested development, as well.

No, but many of their beliefs can be considered childish. Your question over-generalizes a bit. A person can have some childish beliefs and still be quite smart and mature otherwise.

The idea of a invisible friend is one common with children. And perhaps that invisible friend is just as real for some adults as it can be for children. Also, the idea that if someone does wrong, you can use a scapegoat to relieve the wrong seems fairly childish, though probably not by the standards of the day when the Bible was written. We've just evolved quite a bit socially since then. Also, the idea that there is someone "up there" with a plan is also reflected in children. Children don't worry about much if they think that mom and dad have things under control. It relieves them of much they have to worry about. Likewise, adults use God to relieve themselves about worrying that we're just tiny smudges on a speck of dust hurtling through a vast space. Religion tends to promote some of these childish beliefs because it plays on basic human insecurities. This keeps their numbers strong as converts are made to believe they need the religion. It similar to the "just let mommy take care of things".

I know a few in my everyday life who I would consider to be extremely childish. At the same time, I know several who are anything but.

Why would you guys believe Christian's and their beliefs to be childish? Because we believe in values, morals and good and evil? It's anything but childish, it's a very hard life to live at times. Childish is being judgemental!

Childlike, but not childish. After all, unless we change and become like little children, we cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 18:3).

Yes. Everything that is not Biblical to christians is "from the world" or Satanic, which is a closed-minded approach to the world.....

Not at all there are some extremely intelligent people who are Christan's. They are no more childish than those who cannot conceive of God and therefore choose not to believe in God.

All generalizations are false. Including this one.

Some are, some aren't. When we demonize an entire group as all being "this way or that" we've become the people we've been railing against.

No, I happen to know many Christians who are not. It doesn't matter what you believe as long as you behave responsibly & live with tolerance as one of your virtues.
