I don't know how many feng shui buffs are out there, but here's my question: If using a feng shui color chart for a room, do you use it by associating the bottom of the chart as being 'south' or do you consider the bottom of the chart to align with where the door, or opening to the room is?

again, using color as a fengshui tool is like trying to get drunk with drinking water. if you like to use color to fengshui your room, use any color, it will not matter as far as fengshui is concerned. fengshui is about precise measurement, systems and calculations. meaning if you want to chang your life, you should tilt your door to a good direction/ precise degree based on some fengshui concept/ system. not change the color your room.

Actually, you should learn which colors are good for you personally, and then decorate around that. Orange is great for me based on my chart and numbers, but it may not be great for you. Feng Shui is not a one-hit-wonder for everybody, it needs to be adjusted to suit you.
