why do people love to get thier kids rubber ducks?

the kids genrally don't even play with rubber ducks, my little bro has 3 but he is actually scared of them.

Rubber ducks symbolize childhood. I had them was i was little and used to play with them in the bathtub. Nowadays, kids have better things to play with in the bathtub, such as barbies, or submarine things that shoot water. I guess i really dont get the point of the ducks anymore either. I use them to make bird toys for my parrots.

i feel its so cute and does not have any scary features and the yellow ones are calm color.and abt the rubber ones its becoz even if the kid puts it in the mouth it is chewy and doesnt hurt the kid.my dau loved play with it for hours.abt your bro i think its coz each kid is different some may like some may not.
