The H2 has the zoom-power you want, it has image stabilization, and it gets good reviews: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonyh2/page14.asp
It's not the greatest in low light situations, however. You can crank the ISO up to 1000, which is fantastic, but image quality deteriorates dramatically at these levels.
The N1 doesn't outperform the H2 in low light situations and it lacks the zoom you require - it's not suited for your intended use at all.
If you don't mind trading zoom range for low light performance, get the Fuji F30, or the recently announced F31 instead. You'll have to be in the front rows to get the shot, but your pictures will be much cleaner than with the Sony H2: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilmf30/page16.asp
If money is no issue - and I mean that, you're looking at a +$2000 investment - get a digital SLR with some fast lenses. I can recommend several options if you're interested. These will allow you to take perfectly smooth close ups from the back of the room that you can blow up to small poster size.
