I got my laptop stolen and I have to have the police report so I won't have to pay for it anymore at Rent-A-Center (who by the way still wants me to pay even thoguh the laptop is gone. Which is $4000) and I really don't want to pay it if I don't have . Plus I had insurence on it so if somethign like this happened I would have to pay for it. but they are still going to make me if I don't get the police report. Which I get because they might think i still ahve it , but i don't. So please help me.Where would i go. and Can I get it off the internet?

Where did you file the report in the first place. Unless you filed the report at a state police outpost which i cant imagine you would do it would still be were it was filed such as your county pd or city pd that is were you would pick it up but as the person above said there is normally a 5-10 dollar fee to get this report. remeber though if you filed this in Indy make sure its the same station you filed it at good luck and i hope you dont have to pay for a laptop that was stolen

File a report with your police department. Also, you must have rented a supercomputer for it to be worth $4,000.00. And remember filing a false police report is a felony in most states.

Well I'm assuming you have filed a police report you can go to the city police department where you filed and get it there.

Go to the record section of your local pd. You have pay a fee before you can get it.
