If you want to somewhere outside of the US, many places in Asia are wonderful. Singapore is a beautiful and clean country- the safest country in the world, considering you want to travel alone. Malaysia is also a great country, and Bali in Indonesia is a fabulous destination.

Barbados is very safe for women traveling alone. As are the local buses, beaches and so on. So come on down. I live here and am a woman and white and I feel quite safe going out and about on my own.

St Thomas is abolutely great. Lots of time to relax and soak up the sun. It's ashamed that you are wanting to go alone
