The angel who became Satan(meaning resister) and Devil (meaning slanderer) was a perfect angelic son of God.He may even had oversight of the garden of Eden. The Bible does not say how long he was in heaven before being cast down to the earth with the other angels or demons who sided with him.But from prophecies found in the Book of Daniel it can be ascertained that Satan was ousted from the heavens in 1914 - when Christ became King of God's heavenly kingdom.

We all had a premortal existance yes. Christ was there as well as Satan. Now Satan's plan was for us not to have the gift of agency, free choice, and instead follow what he, Satan, told us. Christ's plan was for us to be given agency and tested on Earth as to the choices we would make. Satan rallied about 1\3 of the angels to his side and Christ rallied the rest to his. Christ won and Heavenly father cast Satan out of heaven without a body. Thus, if anyone ever says they have seen Satan it isn't true. You can feel him but never see him. But yes Lucifer was an angel at one point in time.

Lucifer was a created being created by God for God.But Lucifer was rebellious and wanted to sit on the thrown and rule the universe.God cast Lucifer and his band of angels that Lucifer fooled into rebelling with him onto the earth.Humans are God's most precious creation, therefore Satan wreaks havoc in our lives and in our world. That's why we never agree on anything and never will. That's also why the world is so screwed up.

satan lucifer to different entities. satan is a position not a being which is the accuser like a snitch of heaven. god is the judge. lucifer is the fallen who was cast out for leading the rebelian, azzazel didn't pick any side he just waited to see who would win then he would join in, that is why he was kicked out. anyway without lucifer there would be no one to blame for every wrong thing that happens. there would be no reason to go to church. lucifer is the best friend the churche has ever had so face it. and bow down to the real god of earth till revelation comes but then again their are two sides to every story.

No one knows the answer to that question but God, Jesus, satan, and the angels that were present a that time...satan was created to worship God, he was the most beautiful angel ever created..satan was the chief musician in heaven until he thought he could be like the "Most High God"(Isaiah 14:12-14) then he was cast onto this earth. satan is the god of this world (earth) because adam (in the beginning) handed over his rulership/power by allowing satan to decieve him in eating of the fruit from the tree God told him not to eat of.... and it goes on....
Eze 28:12-17
...12 'Thus says the Lord God: "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. 14 "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. 16 "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. 17 "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

He was an angel of high regard, possibly being assigned to be over the earth.
Some believe he might have been just below Micheal and Gabriel in authority.
Like most angels, he is millions of years old.
He and his cronies are indeed bound to the earth.

yes he was, he was the leader of worship and praise. its in the bible, but not sure it says how long he was there.
How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to earth... You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God... I will make myself like the Most High." But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. (Isaiah 14:12-15) ( LOOK how many times he said I WILL, I WILL,I WILL!)

Satan, being a spirit creature was created in heaven. He was one of God's angels, but when he rebelled in the Garden of Eden he became Satan(which means Resister) and Devil (which means Opposer). However in 1914 CE(Common Era) he was cast out of heaven (permanently) and down to the earth.
Revelation12:7- 12: "And war broke out in heaven: Mi´cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
During the time of Job,(afew thousand years ago) Satan went back and forth between heaven and earth and was able to still go before God as shown at
Job 1:6 & 7: " Now it came to be the day when the sons of the [true] God entered to take their station before Jehovah, and even Satan proceeded to enter right among them.
7 Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.”
So we see that it was fairly recently , in this time of the end, that Satan was completely cast out of heaven...when Jesus began to rule from heaven that is the first thing he did...kick Satan out.
