I can't imagine why because it makes no sense. Are there any buildings or houses in the vicinity on the other side? If so, then your claim is false. What about the people in the world who live in nearby and faraway cities that happen to be on the other side of the wall. If what you are saying was indeed the case, none of those people would be alive, but yet they are.

The wailing wall is sacred to the Jews. The other side of the wailing wall is in Muslim control. You can go as a tourist into that area. It is where mosques sacred to the Muslims are. I doubt they would kill you. There are restrictions, however. You must pay an entrance fee, and abide by their rules.
