i do aikido.... er..... kinda.... theres a history 2 it... ne ways wat i do does have ki (qi or chi) breathing n exersises n stuff.. but not qigong... qigong is chinese and aikido is japanese

Aikido has the word Ki (Qi) in its name, but as far as I've experienced through cross-training with aikidoka there were no preparatory qigong exercises being done like in Tai chi or Bagua. Breathing exercises were done however, and breathing is used when tuning in to the energy of the opponent. This is not an qigong exercise as such though. Hopefully some aikidoka can tell you more on this.

You might see simlarities with the breathing and moving of enegy but understanding this would certainly do you no harm what ever your school or art.
