i am growing my layers out and the first layer is getting close to my shoulders, should i keep them growing or cut it to my chin? i tried cutting it too my cheek bones before but it did not suit me. i thought oval suits all styles but not with me. my hair is curly and full so any short layers takes away from my oval shape, giving the allusion of a circle face. what should i do with my hair since i have curly full hair?

People with oval faces can get away with any type of haircut! It's the perfect face shape.

Letting the front layers grow to long can elongate the face. I have an oval face and i don't let my shortest layers which are more like overgrown bangs get any shorter than nose length. For me having my layers right under my cheekbones makes them stand out more. I will sometimes wear my hair curly and I have a habit of pushing it back away from my face because curly hair should be a bit longer in the front than nose length but for straight and bouncy nose length to just above you collar bone is the best curly hair should be at the longer end of the range.

NO! Since you have an oval face layers look even better on your face type. Especially when your hair is long, layers look really good when your hair is longer. Let your hair grow out and starighten it then layer it.
