Forgot to add, were a pub! the party is in the back, so there are drinks/tea coffee available - we did a pig roast in the summer and it went down a storm! So we wanted to do something different....

I thought Bonfire night was for kids! You forgot the Parkin and the treacle toffee.

Maybe some mixed roasted vegetables - get some courgettes, aubergines, peppers, carrots etc, chop them up, mix with a couple tablespoons of olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper and roast in the oven.

The roasted vegetables and maybe some veggie burgers in case there's some vegetarians/vegans turning up.

Don't forget some cheese and butter for the jacket potatoes and all the ketchup/mustard/HP sauce etc...!

Baked apples is an alternative pudding - get some large apples (the sort you use to make stewed apples) take out the core without cutting the apple in half, place on some greaseproof paper on a baking tray and stuff the centres with a mix of raisins, sultanas and demerera sugar - bake in the oven until squashy and slightly browned.

I awlway do soup at my bonfire partyies.

Cream of tomatoe or a nicy vegetable soup. You can cook it in a big urn or cauldron and just serve with chuncks of french stick.

Good cheap warm hearty food.

The cambells soups are great as they are condenced so every tin makes twice as much and it is very thick so you can usually get away with adding a bit more water.

Have a great time.

It all sounds so good sounds like you've got it sorted. Just make sure you've got lots of drinks too because the chilli and the curry will make people thirsty. You could have a large vat of punch (or mulled wine?) and non alcohlic punch with fruit juices for the drivers / non drinkers.

Sounds like fun. Here's a great dessert...
Take slices of Italian bread, dip in sweetened condensed milk , then dredge in shredded coconut. Toast on an open grill or in the oven if easier. Yummy.
Where is this shindig, I like my curry hot!

Doesnt seem much of a veggie selection, how about making some veggie chilli and curry also, or that just leaves boring pizza and jacket potatoes.

mmm mulled wine would be nice as it keeps people warm and seems to be a tradition for a lot of ppl on bonfire night. you have got a great load of stuff there so i wouldnt worry about it as a lot of people dont eat that much when outside anyway! the only thing i could suggest is make sure you have food etc for veggies too!

The ton of apples is alone more than enough to keep them fed for some time.
