It says on the pack to microwave it for four minutes, but even if i microwave it for 3:30, it burns. So what is the best time to keep in the microwave without it burning and almost all of the corn is popped?

Pop it for about 3 minutes, but listen to it...when the popping begins to wind down, stop it, and it should be fine.

If you have a popcorn button on your microwave, you should use that. It pops up most of the popcorn. Even with that you have to watch and listen.

If you put the pop corn on 3:00 it should pop up most of the corn. It also depend on the brand that you use. If you are using LITE, with has less oil, you will have to pop it for less time. The LITE burns more quickly because it does not have as much oil to protect the kernals.

Just reduce the time to 3:00 minutes. Some microwaves have greater wattage. Don't try to pop all the kernels, it really only amounts to less than a handful. The smell of burnt popcorn is the worst smell and it doesn't go away.

Usually there is a popcorn button the microwave has that has the best settings for that microwave. Also make sure you have the right power setting(Ex. High, Low) when following the bags instructions.

THE PACKAGES USUALLY ALSO HAVE THE STATEMENT THAT MICROWAVES VARY SO YOU NEED TO DO TRIAL AND ERROR WITH YOUR OWN MICROWAVE, THE BEST WAY IS TO LISTEN FOR THE POPPING TO SLOW DRASTICALLY, 2-3 SECONDS BETWEEN POPS WILL ACTUALLY BURN IT MOST OF THE TIME, TRY ONE POP PER SECOND. REMEMBER HOW LONG IT TOOK EACH TIME AND HOW WELL COOKED OR UNDER COOKED IT WAS. FIGURE OUT YOUR OWN POP TIME.

It depends on the wattage of your mic. and the brand of popcorn. You have to stay by the mic. and stop it when the popping slows down. We can't give you a time because of the aforementioned circumstances. Better to have unpopped kernels than a burnt bag!

1--When the popping starts to slow down, it is ready.
2--Make a note as to how long that took.
3--Use that number, next time you make the popcorn.

here is a secret

2:20 seconds or less

depending on the brand.

I usually set it at 2:00

and take it out at 1: 40 -50 seconds

and only have about 20 left over seeds

over two minutes and it;s burnt....

You just have to listen to it. When it slows down to about 2 seconds between each pop then you need to take it out.

You'll never be able to pop every seed.

My microwave has a "POPCORN" button. It has never failed to cook perfect popcorn.
