Should anyone engaging in sex, other than between a married man and woman, be a spiritual LEADER?

If you need Biblical advice on this read the story of David in the Bible. Sins, notwithstanding, sins not condoned, but men or women of God even in as high places as David , or almost any of the patriarchs, I just use David because he had one of the most notorious sexual sins while a spiritual leader, are not perfect and they do fall to various sins. The key with God from Biblical examples is if they repent and become humbled they will be restored and healed.

David, annointed leader and established a throne with lineage to Jesus Christ commited adultery and manslaughter.

Solomon -- wisest man that ever lived, had hundreds of wives and committed hedonism, occultism, and paganism.

Elijah, called fire down and destroyed armies, he ran from a women named Jezebel in fear.

Peter, supernaturally inspired, denied Jesus Christ three times on the night Jesus Christ's arrest.

Paul the Apostle, fought the Beast (or Satan) at Ephesus and lived to tell about it, yet had a thorn of the flesh ( some speculate it was either sexual or sickness) that he could not overcome.

Moses, charged the law to the Israelites and especially the covenant of circumcision but went years without circumcising his own son or himself and God almost killed him for it -- his wife saved his life.

And on and on it goes, God's chosen, his teachers, preachers and the like are human, fallible and with like passions as we all are the Bible says, but God loved us and them while we are yet sinners the Bible said and uses these earthen vessels the scriptures says to show the way to the Kingdom that is to come and the desire of God for man now and then. On that journey men grow weary and and some faint the Bible says -- some will fall by the wayside, some will fall among thorns, some will be burned up by much heat but some will make it and bear fruit. Thank goodness that God is the Lord of mercy and grace and is touched by the weaknesses of our flesh and longsuffering to us ward as he was been with all the patriarchs of the Bible.

But what form of spirituality are you talking about? There are many places where this wouldn't apply--a Wiccan priest or priestess, a Universal Unitarian minister, the leader of a Satanic group, and numerous branches of New Age groups all immediately leap to mind where that wouldn't be a problem.

Lust is good. Sex is good. Neither has anything to do with spirituality. "Spirituality" is nonsense.

The only fault that Pastor Ted had what promoting one thing while doing another. He is a grand hypocrite. I'm glad that these hypocrites come to light. It shows how little "spirituality" really means. It is a meaningless word, but it allows people like Ted to control the masses.

Is it POSSIBLE for a CHRISTIAN to ask a QUESTION without using CAPS to EMPHASIZE words?

Jeezus...

So what you're saying is that spirituality, in general, is about controlling lust of the body...and that if you have sex you cannot be spiritual. Isn't that rather narrow-minded?

i'm no longer a psychiatrist, psychologist, truth seeker, or absolutely everyone with any form of degree in a field as such, yet i have had a straightforward volume of sex. for a large number of diverse motives. i do not imagine that lower than any circumstances, see you later because that's consensual, that sex is to be regarded at as disgusting. regardless of if its no longer for romance, it would not damage absolutely everyone. It basically consists of 2 or better people playing existence jointly. in which each and every man or woman receives some thing out of it. In that way i hit upon it to be very religious. I do imagine that as quickly because it does contain love, that's so much better effective though. with the aid of the undeniable fact that's better like a actual manifestation of that emotion, in which 2 people develop into one ( that would properly be taken besides it desires to be. Homosexuals are entitled to love besides, in case that got here off slightly hetero-biased ). As for sex. Ed. i imagine that's distinctly necessary, because babies elect to understand what can ensue in the journey that they are not careful. that's why i'm thoroughly hostile to "abstinence" in hardship-free words sex. ed., there is not any authentic practise in touch and no authentic deterrent placed forth. So in precis, see you later because it consists of consenting legal adults, i do not imagine that any form of sex must be referred to as immoral. that's a suited religious mission.

Two questions here. 1. Spirituality is more than just that and 2. in my opinion, NO.

Sure.
Spirituality is about ... your spirit. People screwing outside of wedlock, or people being gay, really doesn't make them less spiritual.

Either way, I think spirituality is a bad reason to ignore lust.
Sex is fun.
Spirits aren't real.

Partially.

No.

Spiritually is also about repentance, belief, faith and getting to know God (Trinity) better (communication which is prayer and reading His Word) while doing His will for your life (obeying His Word).

There are two ways 2 live.
