'Alto-Ego' is right, you 'll have to go to the Police/Court to get a restraining order.

The police will probably have a quiet word with him and that should be enough to stop him. If not report him again and he will be arrested.

As you need evidence of at least two instances, leave work with a friend/co-worker who can back up any claim. Get as much evidence as possible. Write down times and dates.

Take it seriously though. Give him and inch and he may well take a mile. By getting the Police involved you are showing him you are serious!

DONT APPROACH HIM YOURSELF!

It depends.Its not that easy!
In the UK you cant just get a restraining order unless you have had Police action taken against him.It will be the courts that decide if he gets one.
The best thing you can do AND SHOULD DO is got to the Police and get him charged with Harassment.
If he breaks his harassment order he will then be taken to court and given a restraining order.
Hope this helps!!

have you asked him not to follow you anymore? Maybe he does not know it bothers you. Or maybe he is watching to see that you make it safely to your car each day. Or maybe he is stalking you. I don't think you do either, maybe you should confront him inside of the workplace with a boss or someone else present, so they can see him and hear his response to you questions, then If he is not just an admirer looking out for you defiantly call your local law enforcement and ask them to try to drive thru your parking about the time you get off work for a couple of days and see if that does not make him go away. Either way I would make sure another employee leaves with you each day for a while. Until you feel safe again.

This is what is commonly referred to as stalking. You need to report this matter to the police but before doing so ensure you have documented exactly what this man is doing eg) write down times, days and dates of exactly what he does and how it affects you.
I presume that you are not comfortable enough to tell this man he makes you feel uncomfortable in the first instance - he may be a genuine admirer but just a little misguided.

That is scary!!! Do you know this guy's name? If not, find out what it is. Go on line and find out if he's on the sex offenders list. Either way, report him to the police. This happened to me once many years ago. I thought it was creepy but I was naive and did not take it seriously. The situation got out of hand and I found myself in a very dangerous and scary situation with the man. I honestly thought he was going to kill me. Make sure someone walks to your car with you and whatever you do, don't be naive.

Yes you can. If you feel this man is a threat to you, then don't hesitate to get it.
Also start having some one from work walk you to your car all the time, just to be safe and they can also act as a witness to the fact that this person is stalking you, which is also against the law.

Get n touch with the police, and they will give you crap advice about keeping a diary of what he does, blah blah blah. They need evidence before they can do anything. Ring around solicitors in the yellow pages and see if anyone can give you either a free consultation or advice over the phone or contact your local CAB to see what all your options are.

Maybe or maybe not because he doesnt try to follow you home. The judge may say you dont have enough proof of stalking. Why dont you just tell him to cut it out.? Just say please dont do that as it really bothers me. Then if he continues you could have your boss say something maybe that would work. Unfortunately just watching you drive away is probably not enough.
