clear your mind. and walk up to him as start a nice conversation with him about something simple. it's okay to be shy sweetie because ive been there before. then when you feel confident introduce your self then ask him him over for dinner

Ask him to help you with some manly chore around the house...moving furniture, fixing something, wiring a light switch..whatever his talent is. Then when he's there, offer to thank him by preparing your meal.
I did that and we've been married 8 years now! :)
