Or if I do have insurance, but still have expired tags, will I go to jail? Please answer, I need to know. Thanks!

To those of you who think I'm just terrible for asking this: I normally do have legal tags and insurance. But I've hit a rough spot and I just don't have the money for both right now and I MUST go somewhere tomorrow. Otherwise, I wouldn't even risk it.

The key is "if I get pulled over"

Son, you better drive like a saint
and pray like one too.

The police have plenty of things to keep them occupied and if you are driving like a law abiding citizen, it is highly unlikely that you will get pulled over.

Good luck on your job hunt !

If your tags have been expired for more than 4 months...at least that's what the cop told me when he pulled me over...they are supposed to take you to jail. If you have no insurance AND expired tags, they will take you to jail. If your tags have been expired less than 4 months, they will give you a ticket or a warning.

Expired tags, if the police find out you will go to jail, if you think you have it hard times now wait to you have to pay fines and face criminal charges

You can take a chance but remember if a police car gets behind you in today's world it's very easy and they do it all the time is to run plates so besides driving like a saint you will also have to pray that no police are behind you because if they do most likely they will run your plates even if you are driving like a saint

I'm not in Oklahoma, but I don't think that matters. It's highly doubtful a cop would take you to jail for a traffic violation, but you never know, he may just not like you. To the guy above me, WHATEVER. The reason we pay high insurance and registration has nothing to do with the people who are truant on these payments. Get real, its not nor should it be a jailable offense.

I study this two times. the form you layer longer tale-appropriate prose is admirable, and something I actual have lots worry with. you're making it seem common, organic, yet all people who write be responsive to the different is genuine. I many times degree the effectiveness of a bite by way of the form of TD's........Jealousy rears that's eco-friendly head. Kudos to you, Mr Carney.

I don't live in Oklahoma, but in my oppinion you should serve time in jail.Because of people like you everyone else needs to buy uninsured motorist insurance to protect ourselves.I see no reason for us to pay more so that you pay nothing.
