From my personal experience I think it is better being in a relationship as long as you don't depend on that person for your happiness, are able to accept the impermanent nature of the world and are able to enjoy the relationship………………while it lasts.
People, situations, things can then come and go from your life but there will be no clinginess, no egoic wanting, no pain on their departure. True love can then shine through and if that person leaves you, you will be able to accept that as what the present moment requires. If your relationship is controlled by egoic wanting and craving, instead of enjoyment and present moment awareness the relationship can become a kind of hell on earth. Egoic love is when the ego seeks someone out to fill the gaping hole that the ego contains and uses that person to fulfil it's sense of insignificance, of 'not enough'. As soon as that person doesn't behave in the way your ego would like it to behave the emptiness will inevitably return and you will blame and attack that person. Suddenly love turns to hate. This is not true love but egoic love which is dysfunctional but all too common. You can dissolve the ego in 2 main ways as follows:
1. Live completely in the present instead of torn between dwelling on the past and anxiety about the future. Life unfolds only in the here and now - The past and future do not exist.
2. Accept the impermanent nature of the world. Enjoy the crazy cosmic dance around you but do not depend on it, let things come and go, lightness will come to your life.
Being single can also be great if you attain that state of mind or 'enlightenment' as in this state you do no look to the outside world for your happiness which is a place where it can never be found, but are instead instilled with a permanent sense of peace no matter what your situation is and loneliness will not come into the situation as that is also an egoic state of mind.

It's better to be single than to be in the wrong relationship and unhappy. However, everyone needs love and company and if you find the right partner you will be so fulfilled in every aspect of your life! It's also important to maintain your independence and individuality and not to be so joined at the hip that you can't be without each other. My husband and I have a great relationship because we have different interests as well as shared ones and we never try and control or change one another!

It depends what frame of mind you are in, the grass is always greener on the other side.
when I'm single I miss the companionship of someone ( amongst other things) but when I'm with some one I miss the free life that I have when I'm single and being able to go out and not have to answer to anyone.
Guess I haven't met the right one yet!

i think of Volleyball mom has the main remarkable theory and that i take it somewhat extra. First there will be issues you 2 do with the youngsters. 2d there desires to be time you nonetheless do with one yet another. confirm you're related with uncomplicated hobbies to do issues mutually. regardless of if it relatively is going out to dinner, tutor, play, or any journey that facilitates you that distinctive time as a pair. between the effective issues to do is to circulate to a hotel or area the place mattress and breakfasts places are uncomplicated. effective warm tubs, effective comfortable rooms with a close-by uncomplicated room to be with different travellers to study or have conversations. the non-public touch faraway from domicile. better half hobbies that are mutual must be vacationing, sightseeing, including vacationing historic places. trekking and game activities being golfing, or circulate-u . s . snowboarding. (down hill too) As Volley Ball mom placed it so properly, while the youngsters are long gone the two one among you will proceed the closeness. in case you attempt extra stable at those issues your marriage will pass after the youngsters circulate, and you will know how a great, long and satisfied marriage occurs......

Depends on circumstances. Single is better than an unhappy marriage, but its a fact that singles dont live as long as happily marrieds.

It depends how you look at it. Either way you can have fun. If you are with someone you can enjoy your time with someone else that you have chosen and who's company you enjoy. You can share a lot with someone like a gf/bf or husband/wife.
But if you are single you can still have fun. You can probably spend alot more time with your mates, you can have fun with other people (within reason! No one night stands thank you very much!) without feeling oppressed by someone else.
Either way I think that you have fun and enjoy yourself single or with someone.
:-)

If you can handle being single, then it is good to be single. But God saw it was going to be very difficult to be single and He created Man and Woman.
