The one that does the job.

An American Vietnam Vet once told me a story about a 50cal mg that was rigged to fire single shots. It was mounted on a tripod with a telescopic sight and was used for sniping.

It had a killing range of (I believe) of up to (about) three miles (I'd imagine the target had to be pretty stationary). When fired, the sound of the shot, if heard at all in the vicinity of the target, would likely be heard some 2+ seconds after the Target fired on.

Your question is quite a silly one, actually. ANY weapon which succeeds in doing the job the individual sets out to do is 'deadly;' you simply cannot get any more deader than 'Dead.' So it's not possible to have 'most deadly one.'

...or, you might like to include someone who 'throws a pit viper at the target' too!

Well, the Barrett M82A1 fires a bullet of several hundred grains, and it can penetrate an engine block at a distance of over a mile. Also, it has the capability of using a round that will "tumble" through the body. In reality, this means the bullets breaks up into smaller pieces, which causes much greater damage. If you want something dead, this'll do it. Period.

Possibly the Barrett Light 50. It is the rifle used by the IRA in South Armagh to kill soldiers from a distance of over a mile. It is deadly accurate and fires a round that literally tumbles through the air and is capable of penetrating all body armour.

The deadliest of them all is a 44 Magnum, if a bullet hits U it will remove around 14sq.inches from your body, or remove your head from a distance of 100feet.
I know I have had the privilege of using one and I practised on military dummies.
