I have upset both my siblings and my best friend. I posted an ambiguous blog on my myspace site ranting about problems people from work were having on a daily basis and talking to me about them. I stated my opinions on everything I'd been asked about, and apparently (without mentioning or even referring to my friends and family) they took it all personal and blew up on me. If that wasn't enough, they started a rumor that spread throughout the town I live in that my fiance was pregnant by another man. She is hurt, to the point of crying constantly. I'm very angry, but can't get myself to calm down enough to talk it out.
What should I do in this scenario?

I did fully explain it on the blog, but they said I was making excuses. BTW, my sister is now dating my former best friend, and all three of them have spread some other bad rumors about me on top of the one I'm upset about. They've even .pushed away other friends of mine by telling them lies as well

Personally speaking, I'd be standing up to my siblings. What they are doing is extremely childish and they should be ashamed of themselves. Keep your head held high, do not worry about them or your supposedly friends, and just worry about you and your fiance's life. Whatever you do, do NOT lower yourself to the same level of immaturity they seem to have. Be better than them, and just ignore what is going on. Sooner or later the town will forget what's said, and then they will look like the morons which is very much deserved.

Personally, I think DJ B covered it. However, I disagree with her on 1 point - You DO have the right to be angry. One wrong does not deserve another... Just look where Hamurabi's Code got us over in the Middle East (eye for an eye...).
Anyway, back to your issue: yeah, you messed up by blogging a lot of personal issues in an EXTREMELY public venue. You need to apologize for that. But that does not excuse the malicious behavior being displayed by friends and relatives - especially if, as you stated, the ones spreading the rumors are not necessarily the ones you were talking about in your blog.
Focus on fixing things with your fiance, as she needs to trust you and be trusted by you. Support her completely... the rest of them will either forgive & forget, or they weren't worth your time and energy to begin with.
Best of luck, and quit blogging about personal stuff....

You made an error in judgment. Apologize and ask forgiveness. While you have the right to speak your mind, doing it on a venue to the world is a bit much. You are young, I just hope you don't have to learn all of life's lesson this way. Feel with the heart, but do not spread with the tongue. You have no right to be angry. You messed up. Now go blogging and apologize and ask for forgiveness.

Calm down and take deep breaths. You still have your fiance so hold her and let her cry it out! Forget the other people that are trying to wreck your life.

If you are uncomfortable explaining the situation to family and friends, face to face, then go back to your blog and clarify yourself there.
