Religion, gender, skin color, you name it. What can be done from small things to big things? What do you do?

I think education will do a lot. Inequality is based on the ignorance and misconceptions people have about those who are different than themselves. If you can erase the ignorance by educating people and teaching them to see people as people (without feeling the need to think of the color, sex, religion etc. of people), we will go a long way.
Personally I don't assume or judge people in advance, I give everyone an equal opportunity to show me what they are like as individuals and what they are capable of. I also fight for and support laws that encourage equality.

500 years ago the earth was flat. Now it is round. The earth did not change. What has changed is the way we look at the same truth. We must change our way of thinking on most subjects.
1. Religions. All religions are one. They reveal the same truth progressively.
2. Gender. Men and women are like the two wings of the same bird. Both have to be equally strong for the bird to fly.
3. Skin color. They are like the different colors of flowers in the same garden. Chocolate is black but it is delicious.

My little contribution to equality is to practice treating everyone equally. This has made me very popular with poorer people of color and not so popular with those that imagine they are 'better than'. Oh well!
