Experian and/or Equifax based in Scotland offer a free trial for 30 days but you have to sign up with them and then cancel the agreement before the first payment is due. All the major UK banks and lenders use them for credit reports, and their information is accurate.

Kind of...
The three credit reference agencies (experian, callcredit and equifax) all now have premium services that you can sign up for which include a credit check. They all give you a one month free trial. So sign up for these and them remember to cancel within the month (before the first payment is taken)

Credit Expert from Experian is free, though only for a trial period. 90% of lenders use their info, so its a good bet.
