it feels like i shouldn't be breathing. my chest hurts when i press on it, it feels like the bone underneath is pisst of. i thought i was indigestion so i took pepto but it just got worse after a while and it is getting worse. its 3 am right now and i can't sleep! what is it? i have never experienced before. i feel like i need to burp but when i do it is very painful

Could be a couple of things. I would see a doctor. First have you done any heavy lifting or weird stretching, if so it could be your intercostal muscles. These are muscles that help you breather. Very, very painful if torn. You could also have an ulcer that is bleeding. This will give off the same pain. Again it could be a lot of different things. I would see a doctor, even if the pain goes away.

Get it checked probably not heart attact (it is usually a crushing pain together with shortness of breath). It is probably a muscle or bone pain since you can induce the pain. Take aspirin now, it will help the muscle and bone pain and it works for the heart too.

You should take an asprin tablet if you are not on any anti clotting agents. and notify the Doctor, in any case you should phone the G.P and make an appointment as urgent I expect this is a little late now as I see your question is timed 3am but I hope you are feeling better

It can be 1 of 2 things, either a gallbladder attack or a heart attack. If the pain is keeping you awake then go to your emergency and get treatment.

Three layers of tissue wrap the lungs and when they get bruised or infected with a virus it hurts. When the get infected with a bacterias it is very serious.
