Are you buying or selling and where?

Such a broad question, it would be nice if you specified what country you wish to visit and what city. Every country is different and every town is different and it depends if you want to stay in a four-stare hotel or will be satisfied to stay in a what ever you can find which is some times the case. Hammock are usual very cheep in the tropics.

Yes,They are expensive .I stayed in different hotels in the LA many times But it depends if you are on your business trip you may get good discounts on behalf of your company. If you are on a long term stay its definitely better to rent a flat as many here are available for 1 month lease.
Enjoy your Trip.

There are hotels that are expensive. it depends on the category and classification. Recommended for short stay but if longer and budgeted, its better to look for an apartment or condotel.

i always go with www.superbreak.com all hotels are half price, you don't get the best rooms, but we have never had a problem. You only sleep in the room don't you. give it a try.
