Very good. Dog & you became aethists now! You can contact the Popes Office at Vatican with your application for redressal. Mention all the points coherently, to give a correct picture as you watch a movie. They can either punish you with entrusting you some social works and may get regularised to your religion. But it won't be done immediately.

Since you put your dog to sleep, he has gone
to wherever good doggies go at the end of their
lives.
What I would do is get another little dog.
Take care of him/her.
Feed it well.
Keep it clean and healthy.
In time you will forget about the dog that died.
