Why did you wait until she was 9 before you let her have pups?? Dog should not be bred beyond 6-7 years old. And if you were going to breed her, it should have been to a chihuahua, not a maltese. What are you going to do with the mixed breed pups?

That is way too old for her to have pups. It is going to put too much strain on her old body. That would be just like gaving a child at 70 years old (if you could).
No responsible breeder (which you are clearly NOT) will breed their dog over the age of 6 or 7.
Have you thought about how many homeless dogs are out in the world? Being euthanized because there are not enough homes for them in the world? Do you even care?
Do you care how much strain your dog is going to have to go through bringing these pups into the world?
Have you checked for any heraditary diseases? Have you registered her? Have you made sure she is in PERFECT condition to breed?
No?
Abort these pups ASAP.
Your precious dog can die from the strain her body will go through when giving birth to her pups.
*** Chihuahua x Maltese is not a recognised breed and is considered a MUTT. If you are breeding her for money, which I assume you are doing, you will not sell the pups for much.

At the age of 9 years is definately too old for your pet to be bred. She should be retired at the age of 7 years,as she is actually like a 63 year old woman trying to have children.I would suggest you contact a vet and have her checked throughout her pregnancy,as she probably will have problems delivering the pups and may require a C-section.

No.Why bring more puppies into the world when there are so many dying in shelters?Your dog is too old to have puppies anyway, and it could kill her, never having had them before and being so small.Chihuahuas very often need C-sections.Are you prepared to pay for one should she need it?Please, just do the right thing and have her spayed to stop the puppies being born,to prevent a uterine infection and to decrease her risk of breast cancer. If you love your little dog, you'll do the right thing.Just think about it.

If this dog has never had pups before and is nine years old you are going to have to have the pups delivered by the vet and doing them c-section. Her pelvic bones are set and the pups will not be able to pass through the birth canal.
She could die trying to give birth to them or they could die.
9 is way to old for a first litter. You need to speak to your vet about this litter and see what they think.

well, if she's already pregnant, you can only stop it by aborting them....I'd ask your vet. I personally think she's too old but i've said that about the humans that decide to have children when they're like 50 and they seem to handle it OK

Nine years is too old, especially for a first litter. Contact your vet to see what precautions they recommend.

it's not okay for this dog to have puppies. young chihuahuas have enough problems as it is having puppies, most have to be delivered c-section. An older dog is going to have even more issue. Please have your dog spayed.

No. She's just a baby. She should be at least 18 to make such a decision.
