Let's just wait and see...

The Bible calls it the 'great day of God the Almighty' (Revelation 16:14-16)
When it comes, you will know it is from Jehovah.

Have you noticed the increase in major earthquakes, incurable disease, hunger(starvation even in "developed" countries like the US), the ruining of the earth by pollution, the wars, the instability of the economic system, the moral breakdown of society, and the world wide preaching of the good news of God's Kingdom...? (Matthew 24:3-14; 2 Timothy 3:1-5) All of these are signs Jesus told us to look for. He warned in vs. 17 of Matthew 24 of a great tribulation...it is coming. No one knows the day or the hour, 1Thess. 5:2,3 says Jehovah's Day is coming like a thief in the night...do you know when a thief is going to break into your house? NO,
That scripture goes on to compare it to the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman, or when a woman is in labor. No one knows for sure when a pregnant woman is going to go into labor, but we all know it is going to happen. That is the same with Jehovah's day, we don't know when, but we see all of the signs, just like a woman in labor..it will happen.

Once again we see papa bear giving misinformation. After 1919 the Watchtower continued to make false predictions, most strongly for 1925. Less strongly for 1975. Then statements like "before 2000" and before those that were born in 1914 die out. Now all of these concepts have been abandoned.

Unfortunately the Watchtower has no specific date predictions left to go unfulfilled. At least when they did, as the dates went past unfullfilled many followers came to their senses and left.

Mark13:32 says that, no-one knows that day or hour not the angels in heaven or even Jesus does not know when this will be, only Jehovah knows that day, and hour, I have heard many predictions too about dates. but never from the JW'sI don't know where you get your information, but it is flawed. Do you have a scheduled date when a thief or two will come to your house and rob you? Well that is how the end will come, unexpected!!!!!!!

At the time they were doing that, they were also celebrating Christmas, getting involved in politics, and flying the American flag in front of the head quarters. They were also punished for those mistakes, ending up in prison, in a way, just like the ancient Jews were conquered every time their screwed up. They were growing and learning, often the hard way. But, at least they were striving to do better. That cannot be said for other religions, who continue to fall even further from the teachings of Christ, as is manifested in differences within religions over such issues as stem cell research, homosexuality, and involvement in the war.

A sign of the blessing of the holy spirit is uniformity of spirit and teachings. Getting something wrong does not necessarily mean the group is wrong, provided they are trying to do it right. In over 100 years, they strived to be closer to the teachings of Christ than any other religion, despite opposition. Any other religion would relented and adjusted their beliefs to be more compatable with the world at large.

I think that after a couple of missed predictions that the JW's gave up making specific world-ending predictions.

The watchtower says it is God's only true organization: "Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book," (The Watchtower; July 1, 1973, page 402.). It claims to speak for God, yet it has produced numerous contradictory statements. Therefore, it is not God's organization.

(The Time is at Hand, 1889).

Armageddon will be in 1941
"Receiving the gift, the marching children clasped it to them, not a toy or plaything for idle pleasure, but the Lord's provided instrument for most effective work in the remaining months before Armageddon." (The Watchtower, 9/15/41, page 288.)
