Just checked mine. 108cm x 70cm (if my maths is correct that's 43" x 28").
He's quite a large male greyhound and he's quite happy in it. Sometimes he'll get out and lie on the floor if he fancies really stretching out. (Your greyhound will also be quite happy to lie on your bed and/or sofa. It's up to you whether you let him/her!)
Or, as mojojojo has said, you could just double up an old quilt. As long as it's nice and soft, the dog will be happy.
If you haven't got them already, you'll also need an indoor coat, and outdoor coat and a raised feeding bowl.
If you can't find anything in your local pet shop, Jan's Gifts might be worth a try:

I got all my supplies elsewhere before I found out about jan's gifts, but I've had loads of people recommend them.
A little tip. If you are going to get a muzzle or a coat, get one that's designed specifically for greyhounds. Because of the greyhound's shape, normal coats and muzzles won't fit.
P.S. Congratulations on getting a greyhound. The one I have now is the first sight-hound I've owned, but he won't be the last.

Greyhounds would need a 36 inch bed ideally,(or bigger)
Im sure greyhound rescue sell beds plus you would be supporting this wonderful breed rescue.
Well done for taking in a greyhound.

Depends on how big a bed do you sleep! Greyhound love to sleep on a couch or human's bed.

hi there - i had a lurcher (half greyhound, half collie). he was quite large.
greyhound type dogs need room enough to stretch out in, but most importantly, it needs to be comfortable as they are quite bony and can get uncomfortable. i would recommend doubling over an old quilt. we used a kingsized one for our dog, but if your greyhound is smaller then a single or double would probably be ok. cheaper than a large specially made dog bed too! (and you can take the duvet cover off and shove it in the wash easily!
hope you enjoy your dog!!!!

My hat off to you for adopting a Grey hound they have gotten a bum rap but to answer your question, your new friend will curl up pretty tight because of his short hair and a large medium to small large bed will do the trick! It seems that Grey hounds know when a person helps them and they get real close and loyal to their owners so, your bigger problem is going to be keeping him from curling up with you in Bed, not his! he! he! ha! ha! good luck. :)

Hi go for the largest as they like to spread themselves out...big bean beds are ideal for them also as they are short coated & like the comfort...*Vetbed* is also extremely good...soft & always dry to the touch & very easy to throw in the washer & clean...these are always worth having rather than a blanket...Regards Jake
