Go to a salon. Are you previously colored? This will matter too. Your hair will need to be lightened using a lightener aka: bleach... You must go to a salon, as they will use a different formula on your root area, as using all one formula will burn your scalp and give "hot roots" -heat from head overprocesses hair within 1 inch from the scalp making your roots really WHITe, while rest of the hair may not lighten so quickly. So.... go to a salon where they will use the correct formulas. Also, your hair won't turn those colors in the end unless you do your own hair. Hair goes through several stages of depigmentation. Red-Red orange-orange yellow-yellow-pale yellow. Pale yellow is platimum. The hair is then going to be toned, to achieve whatever shade of blonde your choose. Good Luck!! Hope this helps....

Go to Sallys Hair Supply. Buy a bottle of Level 30 Volume Peroxide and maybe two or three packets of bleaching powder. This really depends on how much hair you have. Follow directions. Usually mix half and half. Read directions WELL. Then apply to hair. Wait 40 minutes or the maximum time allowance. Then rinse. Keep in mind that you need to deep condition your hair the day before. Then you need to do the same process over again until you get that nice blonde color. Your hair will be orangey the fist time because your hair is dark. (so is mine)You need to lift the color a few times to get that nice blonde.

even if ur very dark or just bright dark - there's always a way of turning u to a nice blond! :)
HEre's my suggestion -
at first go to a hair salon adn ask to dye ur hair with blondish stripes. that will make u a feeling of light hair, but u will nor becaome someone u will not recognize in teh mirror. when thsi hair grows it's not that abvious that u had been dark before.
if u like ur new look, next time, in couple of weeks. u may go to teh salon and ask to dye all off ur hair.
then u will know, if u like teh result they made before, u want ur hair look lighter or darker blond.
and just for a game - using a shamoo and balm for bright hair really makes them brighter! it also helps to keep them healkthy and bright after dyeing!
goodluck whatever u choose to de, but remeber - their's always a way of turning tehm back to what tehy were ;)

i don't think that it is a good idea. in a shop i was in, i was looking through all the hair dyes. i really wat blonde hair too. i picked up a blond packet and in the part of the box showing u wat your hair would lokk like, say if it was a light brown, how it would look if it was dyed blonde. i looked at the part that showed for dark hair (like yours and mine) and it said not recomended. it might or might not rui your hair. my theory is that it would make your hair an ugle dishwater blonde. everyone i know thinks that my hair looks nice, as i know people that try to dye their hair my colour. i can't dye it for a while thouh coz im in a skool play lol anyway cya. oh by the way, the wa only way i tihnk possible for you to mae you hairs blonde is to bleach it, you know, like having highlights or what ever. it worked for me, but i only got streaks, so i still dnt reccoment THAT.

I think that if you want it done right, I would personally go to a salon and get it done. If you use an at home dye it may or may not leave it brassy (yellow/orange). Plus, if they do make it brassy, they will fix it and probably get it to the color you want the first time!Good luck!

im in cosmetology school and it is possible to get to a pretty blonde. as long as its not bottled-black. you would have to use a 40-volume developer on your hair to get the most lift. then you use a toner. TONER is the key ingredient. it takes out the orange in the blonde. but my advice...GO TO A PROFESSIONAL. They will do a wayyyy better job.

It depends on how dark you are. If it's really dark thats alot of processing. Not to mention alot of upkeep! You might just want to do it in stages or just go with highlights.
You can dye your eye brows. But you might look weird if you go too light. You'd probably look best if you just left them alone & did your hair only.
Good luck & have fun!

Don't do it yourself. Find a hairdresser that will take the time to discuss with you exactly what you want. A good hairdresser will take the time to talk to you about different shades of blond as compared to your skin color.

If you going to really go a lighter colour the best way to do it is to go to a GOOD salon. Tell them what exactly what you want. Thats the best way.
