Look for a shampoo and conditioner designed for dry hair, and rather buy ones that is creamy and white in texture, as oppose to ones that are transparent. (Dove and Pantene is good)
Next it's important that you wash you're hair in the right way.
Unless you're hair gets really dirty (I'm talking paint or mud here) there is no reason for you to wash it all over from root to tip. Simply wash the roots, and then rinse it so the rest of the foam rinses through the rest or the hair. Use a good quality conditioner, put it on and leave it on for at least 3 minutes. Then rinse it out gently. When you've dried you're hair, after washing it, a good tip would be to rub a little conditioner into the hair, the same way you rub body lotion into you're skin. Not so much as to make it greasy, but enough to make it look a bit more smooth, and less frizzy.
Good luck, and I hope you're hair gets better.

Tough question! Many factors: Is your hair fine, medium, course? Is it short, medium or long? Will yur hair hold a curl for say 24 hrs. Do you like you hair short, medium or long? do you use a hair dryer? TO MANY QUESTION RIGHT! I personally like Pantene shampoo with conditioner leaves my hair soft and fluffy. For expert advice I suggest you go to a Salon and discuss the best approach and alternative to your hair care. Then once you have an idea you can choose what products best suit your needs. Hot humid climates play havoc with hair curls and Cold dries it out. You can go to a Hairdressing School and talk with an insturctor there for free and they are licensed Hairdressers. Salons push products they like and sometimes they are not always best (economical interest come into play $$$) But I would say for the most part any reputable Hair Salon would be more than happy to help you, talk with you and explain differences. They have an interest in treating you right..they want your repeat business..So if they make you happy you'll go back.. PS: they like it when people come to talk with them and seek advice..make sure you are talking to a responsible person not a recent school grad..they don't have the experience..Good Luck.

first of all, there's nothing to be worried about having dry hair - nowadays every and each problem is solvable ;))
i myself make natural masks for my hair: i wash my hair with normal shampoo taht rinse them with 1 or 2littres of strong camomile(natural!) leaves tea. it makes them smooth and shinny.
or u cAN TRY THIS:
take some aloe, smash them with a wooden stick and but it on ur wet just washed hair for about 15mins. (put a plastic bag on to keep teh warmth of the hair too).
than rinse it of with water.

if these antural tips are not preferable, tru using a shampoo and conditioner of one brand. and don't wash ur hair more often that 1 time in 3days!

good luck!

4. put the coconut cream on your hair and scalp
