u can send an email to him if u dont like talking to him in person - if u like that person then it's worth the try. u will not look like an idiot but if u dont like him what's the point of asking him anyway.
would u rather live ur life thinking if he like u or not or get the guts to ask him and be happy and have peace of mind whatever his answer will be.

Here's a low-risk way to ask someone out on a date and figure out if they like you:
Make it a not-date. I assume you have his email or cell phone or whatever and are on speaking terms. Find some occasion to ask him if he'd like to go get food or something. Make it casual, and don't go to a nice place - just someplace for fast food or something dumb. The idea here is to make it seem like you're just headed out to pick something up and you don't feel like heading out alone, and you just "happened" to pick him because he was available.
During the trip or dinner or whatever, you'll have the chance to engage in conversation, and you'll be able to tell if he likes you or not. You can steer the conversation towards topics like dating and girls and do a bit of flirting, and if he's receptive, then he's interested.

ok I am a 15 yr old boy and if a random girl came up and said I like u I would prbly laugh and walk away so like umm yea.. so don't do that since am like the most popular kid in my highschool and I know all about this what you should do is.. go up to him jump on him and start making out it works for girls at my school

no one is good at it. Just ask him if he'd like to go out for a drink, dinner, lunch whatever would make you feel comfortable. Don't go ask him if he likes you though. It puts him on the spot. Spend time with him and see what happens.

just come out and ask...do it in a cute way like "so i think maybe you like me" if he says "no" wink and tell him "ummm yea i am never wrong about this" if he likes you he will say so...make a game out of it...what do you have to lose..it could end up being a great story for the grand kids....oh oh oh...speaking of that my grandma has a note my grandpa passed her in the SECOND grade...it says *** who do you like more Sammy or Ben*** with little boxes next to their names...it would be adorable if you handed him a note that said " do you like me? check YES or NO" try it...why not?!?

i'm kinda in the same situation and i don't want to do and ask but then i think to myself how will i ever know? just look at the sighns of him liking you and go from there. youre friends should help you too
