does not a "converse" effect mean that you want to talk - making it far less likely that you would be depressed, hopeless or suicidal?

If Jesus depresses you then the Holy spirit must be speaking to you and you are rejecting what God is trying to say to you. Condemnation does not come from God but Satan. God will convict your spirit to do the right things but remember Satan is the condemning spirit.

The Jesus myth has some nice sentiment in there, love and peace and all that but when it comes to the "believe and follow me or go to hell" stuff that's when i switch of. Hate disguised as love.

If this is how it makes you feel, then you DEFINITELY do not know the Jesus of the Bible. Read all about Him in the Bible and you will find life in abundance!!!

more like angry, aggravated and irritable--even if his sacrifice did happen, he was god, and had nothing to lose--why should we prize him above any of the firefighters who died rescuing people from the twin towers on september 11th?
