Definition: The Supreme Being, whose distinctive name is Jehovah. The Hebrew language uses terms for "God" that convey the idea of strength, also majesty, dignity, and excellence. In contrast to the true God, there are false gods. Some of these have set themselves up as gods; others have been made objects of worship by those who serve them. As for how did he make the world, that's covered in Genesis.

Wow thats a biggy!
By saying WHO is God we tend to personalise him and personify him , that makes it difficult to define the who.
By saying What is God goes the other way and makes him so big he breaches the human capacity to quantify.
God doesnt have to have a name , or be anything other than what is important to you.
You will have your unwashed masses teling you to read the bible, call him Allah or some such, that is not important.
If you truly want to know who God is take away the religion and look in your heart. God is a meadow , a stream , a mountain top , the clouds, a new born baby.
Appreciate these things and others like them and then you will know who God really is.

God is love. Have you never heard that love makes the world go round? Why worry about how it was made, that it is here should be enough for every soul to thank God for its creation.

not who but what, if anything, is God. Even the Bible can not keep straight on this and changes God from a person who walks around into a cloud of Holy Smoke and then later to an intangible universal spirit ghost thing.

He is God, not god. He is the sole Creator of this universe. He is Spirit. He is holy, almighty, all-seeing, ever-living. He made you and He loves you. If you seek Him with all your heart and soul and mind, you will find Him, for He has promised to reveal Himself to all who seek Him.
